WRIGHT SISTERS

The conversation between me and her started on an image I shared with her on whatsapp. The image depicted the vastness of freedom we humans crave for, the vastness to explore and the vastness to live those out-of-the-ordinary adventures. This was the image that gave me a sleepness night thinking about the amazing calibre of instances that can happen to life, if we think of them and plunge for a fearless dive.

She is a silent woman who normally doesnt express much and it was like an adrenaline rush when she exclaimed in a go,"mujhe bhi udana hai..give me the wings". I was so amazed and declared,"Lets be Wright sisters this time".

The Wright gliding experiments were always based on the "Lift Equation", like most of us measure the quality of the people we are with by the lift they can give (by their capability to fulfill our needs). The wing wrapping systems were used for the aircraft's lateral control, like the immediate and long-term needs of security we generally are based on according to the "Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs". There were gliders added up with power, flight, height and the Wright fame that was obvious in that era, like the undivided attention and efforts we put, expecting recognition and reciprocation as unquestioned and as deserved. Their is an immense drive to excel and there is always skeptism that would follow, like people believe the unreal lies but question the evident truth. Justified as the Paris edition of the Herald Tribune headlined a 1906 article on the Wrights -"FLYERS OR LIARS?"

I couldnt make a plan of designing a glider as I promised to her virtually but as words spoken and left incomplete trouble me, I wrote for my friend here. The image I referred above was of an adventure freak who dared the life just to take an ariel view of some place in Nepal. I declare at this moment, that there would be a day when we would fly with a cam the same way amidst the swirls of clouds and depths of water, like the bird spread with wings of freedom and a rush in my neural connections.

Eat, Pray, Love, Think, Create, Fly, Peace.
